Your holiday resort Sankt Leonhard is the starting point for numerous stunning hikes in the popular Tyrolean mountains. Varied paths and trails offer a unique experience for the whole family, taking you past rushing mountain streams, while inhaling the scent of wonderful mountain herbs. High-alpine tours above 3 000 metres, such as the famous Wildspitze (at 3 768 m the highest mountain in Tyrol) are also possible from Pitztal.

This track combines five alpine pastures at an altitude of 1 800 m: Arzler Alm, Tiefentaler Alm, Neuberg Alm, Mauchele Alm and Söllberg Alm are connected by this route..

In summer, the Kaunergrat – Pitztal Nature Park opens up diversity in the smallest of spaces. Experience the magnificent high altitude mountain landscape, the extraordinary flowing dry grasslands, the mighty glacier at the end of the valley and different protected areas in the nature park. Interesting exhibitions perfectly round off the summer experience.

The huts and alms in Pitztal have a wonderful combination of originality and comfort. After a wonderful hike a break is a must – delicious Tyrolean delicacies, good conversation with rustic innkeepers and a glass of schnaps to round off the visit, it’s a great experience!
