30 years Hotel Mittagskogel

In the heart of the picturesque landscape of the Pitztal Mountains, which attracts visitors from near and far in both summer and winter, one name has stood for three decades for hospitality, comfort, and unforgettable experiences: our Hotel Mittagskogel.

This year, we proudly celebrate the 30th anniversary of our establishment, reflecting on a time filled with challenges, successes, and countless beautiful moments with our guests.

Beginnings
It all started with Hans and Irmgard Auer. Hans Auer acquired the property with the idea of creating a special place where his daughter Sonja and her husband Daniel could work and thrive in the future.

When the Sportiv Hotel Mittagskogel - as it was then called - opened its doors in October 1994, it was more than just a place to stay from the very beginning. With 33 rooms, which remains the same to this day, a journey driven by hospitality and commitment to quality began.

Expansion and Development
Over the years, Hotel Mittagskogel has steadily evolved. From its beginnings to a renowned establishment with a variety of cozy rooms and suites, a comfortable restaurant and lounge area, an indoor pool with a wellness area, a wonderful panoramic terrace, and last but not least, the après-ski meeting point - the Schirmhaserl. Each expansion and renovation has been carried out with the needs and desires of our guests in mind.

Companions
As a business, it is invaluable to have employees who have been with us since the beginning. They are not only witnesses to our development but also significantly contribute to our success. In a time when the working world is marked by rapid changes, we truly appreciate having people by our side who, through their loyalty and dedication, have shaped our journey in a wonderful way. In our case, these are Claudia, Sylvia, Resi, Manni, Rainer, Marco, Martin, and Zora, who have been with Mittagskogel since its inception. For this to work, collaboration on an equal footing is essential. We thank you for your trust and cannot express enough the appreciation we have for each and every one of you - even if it sometimes gets lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life - from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Of course, this thanks also extends to all others in our team who have also been working at Mittagskogel for several years. We truly hope that this team remains with us and look forward to many more years with each and every one of them.

Unforgettable Moments
The heart of our success lies in the moments we have been able to provide to our guests. Whether it's organizing tailor-made experiences in nature, culinary highlights in our restaurants, or simply creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and appreciated. These moments are what make and have made Hotel Mittagskogel what it is today.

In Memory of an Unforgettable Soul
There are moments in life that hit us unexpectedly. We experienced one of those moments when the soul of the hotel, Sonja, tragically passed away in an accident. With her incomparable laughter, warm-heartedness, and dedication, she shaped the character of Mittagskogel. Only through the unity as a family, as a team, and as a community were we able to continue. Even in our anniversary celebrations, Sonja should have a place. Let us exchange stories and share memories.

Looking to the Future
While we look back on three decades, we also eagerly look to the future. The next generation of the family, with Rene and Madeleine, is preparing to take over, determined to preserve the philosophy and at the same time, lead Hotel Mittagskogel forward.

in June and then end it with our regular guest weeks in September, in Mittagskogel style.

You can expect not only price highlights but also plenty of adventurous program points, some of which will be accompanied by Chef Daniel or the daughter of the house, Madeleine. Our head chef Benedikt and his sous chef Christoph will take care of the culinary aspects of all the festivities. And it can be revealed - our enjoyment crew will come up with something for every palate for this great event.
